Terms of Service
Last updated June 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Today List app (“the App”), provided by Mike Walls (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.
1. Your license to use the App
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and with Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, which also applies to your use of the App. The App is licensed, not sold, to you.
2. Subscriptions
Today List offers a 7-day free trial, after which continued use of premium features requires an auto-renewable subscription:
- Annual — $29.99 per year (about $2.50 a month)
- Monthly — $3.99 per month
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews at the same price for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device’s App Store account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change; any change will be communicated in advance and will not affect your current paid period.
If your subscription ends, nothing you’ve created is deleted. You can still open the App and see and complete the tasks and habits already on your device; creating new tasks and habits, voice capture, Week planning, and reminders require an active subscription, and all of it resumes the moment you renew.
3. Acceptable use
Today List is a personal task and habit app. Please don’t attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App, or use it in any way that violates applicable law. That’s about it.
4. Your data
Your tasks, habits, and history belong to you and stay on your device. We don’t collect or access them. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture. You’re responsible for keeping your own backups (the App includes export and a device backup rides along with iOS).
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don’t warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs. You use the App at your own discretion and risk.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or productivity, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.
7. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we’ll revise the date above. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
