Frequently asked

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the iOS Settings app → tap your name at the top → SubscriptionsToday List → Cancel. Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so this is the same place you manage every App Store subscription. Cancelling during your free trial means you won’t be charged.

I already paid on another device — how do I restore it?

On the paywall screen, tap Restore Purchases. As long as you’re signed in with the same Apple ID, your subscription will unlock again at no extra charge.

What happens if my subscription ends?

Nothing you’ve created is deleted — your data is yours and stays on your device. You can still open Today List and see and complete the tasks and habits already there. Creating new tasks and habits, voice capture, Week planning, and reminders pause until you resubscribe, and everything picks right back up the moment you do. We won’t hold your own list hostage.

Where is my data stored? Could I lose it?

Everything lives on your device — there’s no cloud account to lose access to. Your data is automatically included in your iPhone’s backup (iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup) if you have backups turned on. You can also export everything as a file anytime from Settings → Export all data, and keep that copy wherever you like.

I’m getting a new phone. How do I bring my tasks with me?

Two ways. The easy one: restore your new phone from your iCloud or device backup during setup, and Today List comes along with everything in it. The manual one: before switching, use Settings → Export all data to save a backup file, then on the new phone use Settings → Restore from backup to bring it in.

How does voice capture work?

Tap the mic when adding a task and just say it — “Every Monday at 8, call Mom.” The app uses your iPhone’s built-in speech recognition to turn your words into text, then parses the date, repeat, and reminder right out of the sentence. No audio is ever stored or sent anywhere by us.

What happens to a task I don’t finish?

It doesn’t silently disappear or pile up in a hidden backlog. Overdue tasks follow you onto Today in their own section (with a “late” badge), and they greet you again in Execute mode, until you either do them or move them to a day you actually will. The slip is right in front of you — honestly — so nothing gets lost.

Is Today List on Android or the web?

Not yet — Today List is iPhone-only for now. It’s built to feel native and calm on iOS first.
