Privacy Policy

Last updated June 14, 2026

The short version: Today List has no servers and makes no network calls of its own. Everything you put into the app — your tasks, habits, and history — stays on your device. We never collect, transmit, see, or sell any of it. There is nothing to leak because nothing leaves your phone.

What we collect

Nothing. Today List does not have user accounts, and it does not send your data anywhere. There are no analytics, no usage tracking, no advertising, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party SDKs that phone home. We do not know who you are, what you write, or whether you opened the app today.

Where your data lives

All of your tasks, habits, and completion history are stored locally on your device in the app’s private database. That data is only accessible to Today List on your phone.

Notifications

If you set a reminder or alarm on a task, the notification is scheduled locally by iOS on your device. We do not run a push server and no reminder information is sent off your phone. You can disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.

Voice capture

If you choose to add a task by voice, Today List uses Apple’s built-in speech recognition to turn your speech into text on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit audio. Apple’s handling of speech recognition is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy; once your words become text, Today List simply drops them into a task that stays on your phone. Voice input is entirely optional.

Subscriptions & payments

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your name, payment details, or billing information — Apple manages all of it. We receive only the anonymous subscription status iOS uses to unlock the app on your device.

Children’s privacy

Today List is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no data at all, there is nothing for us to gather from a user of any age.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy — for example, if optional cloud sync is added in the future — we will update this page and revise the date above before that feature ships. Today List will always tell you, plainly, before any of your data would leave your device.
